Constantine held the door open for Elizabeth as they walked in. He had a feeling she was behind his missing ties, but with no proof he was wearing a tie that matched her dress. A short powder blue number that matched her eyes. Matched his eyes as well. But since the party was a big deal, he had at least managed to do a proper shave and combed back his hair so it didn't look as unmanageable.
"What would you like to do first, luv?" he asked.
There were lots of people already there. Lots of people still arriving. Parties weren't really his thing. Too many people and too big of a crowd. Reminded him of the barracks when he was fighting and that was not something he wanted to be reminded of. Not without a fifth of scotch. Also, make one wrong move and the next thing you knew, you were dead in an alley with a bullet in your head. So no, not Constantine's favorite sort of events. All fake smiles and laughs. He'd take the war all over again.

"I can not believe you made this place big enough to fit everyone,""Good to see you, baby," he said, kissing her cheek. He looked back at the crowd. "You know me, I always gotta keep my eyes on everyone, an' there's no better place than here."
He leaned into her ear. "How you feelin'? You can use one of the bedrooms upstairs if you get too anxious, ya hear?" He spotted some polished men passing them by. "But if I were you, I'd try introducing myself to some of these gentlemen." That's when he spotted John Diverio entering the establishment. With a smile he continued, "Perferably the ones that can take good care of ya."
He stood up and cleared his throat. "Or if you perfer your security team, I'd be happy to call them up," he said, in a jokingly threatening manner. Aria smiled when he kissed her cheek before kissing his cheek as well. She then nodded when he told her this was the best place to keep an eye on everybody. Though when he leaned into her ear and talked about using the bedrooms for a place to hide, she looked up at him and smiled. "I will take you up on that offer. Might have to go there if this keeps up." Aria whispered back to him before she watched two men walk passed them. "But if I were you, I'd try introducing myself to some of these gentlemen."Aria's eyes widened as she immediately felt herself blush. She turned to her father and gave him a glare. And before she could say something to him, he spoke about the men that would take care of her. Then he jokingly threatened about her security team. This made her glare at him a little. "You know my answer to that. And I will talk to some gentlemen, but they must come to me. I will not go to them." Aria whispered as she looked away from him and raised her head a little. "Remember, you taught me that. I remember your exact word," Aria started, "A man is no man if he can not make the first move," Aria said before she smirked at her father and gave him a light wink. "Told you I listened," Aria said before giggling slightly.

Aurora gave a weary smile as she heard the speech, and what Korso dreamt of; when it came to Gatsberry's well - being and it being a party go - ers fantasy, that would've been wonderful, she could hide herself away in the music and rich enchanting aspects of popular life and the roaring 20's dream! Away from pain! Able to dance! And debauch in the pleasures of drinks! Well, if she knew the drinks were fake but she hoped she wouldn't notice that. For a quick second she looked at her palm, noticing the birthmark. Remembering what her dad said about her and her brother, maybe her seeing him one day? Was it really worthwhile? She entered, noticing the folks getting all settled and she was their to loosed up, get a bit of cash for some great dance moves but all she really wanted was a bit of socializing, was that too much to ask for? She gave a light twirl and walked around the room. Dress

Elias wouldn’t miss this for the world, not when his boss was opening a speakeasy and not when Lottie was singing. She had a good voice, he knew that from experience. Took a lot to throw that pretty voice out. He adjusted his suit, which he hadn’t used since his wedding and thus felt a bit uncomfortable in, and walked around looking at things. He paused when he saw the youngest daughter of Korso, alone, and walked over to her. “You doing alright miss Aria?” he asked.

Korso placed his face in his palm as Aria repeated his long forgotten words.
"That's my baby," he said, smiling as he rub her head. "Although, no guys are gonna come up to ya as long as you're with me. People say I can tend to me a little, hmmm, intemidating, heh-heh-heh."
He placed a hand on her back to reassure her.
"Feel free to find a table and relax. I'll have the chef cook you up your favorite."
His eyes caught the sight of the Aurora walking pass them.
"I'll be here, enjoying the sight, ya know," he said with a cunning smile. His eyes shot back to the entrance. "Gotta watch out for snakes too..." he thought.
That's when Elias walked up, acknowledging Aria's presense: “You doing alright miss Aria?”
Korso surprised him with a firm handshake. "Not goin' to ask me how I'm doin'?" he laughed as he dusted a yarn thread off his shoulder. "Lookin' good my man, who you tryin' to impress, huh?"

What did Elizabeth want to do first? Indeed that was a good question. There were so many places to see and so much things to do! Just how could she ever make a decision? Holding Johns arm tight and close to her she looked at him with sparkling eyes of excitement before she looked around in the room. "How about we hit the dancefloor? Or no wait how about we get something to drink? No wait, something to eat. No, the balcony! Or oh how about some games to start with? Ah sweetheart I can´t decide there are too many great options!"
Surely the author wasn´t the one to decide out of a pool of options. One reason she was now trying to write a crime story and not a drama or romance again for example. However even if Constantine sure may have known better after all the time she and him had spent together he still honestly asked for her opinion and wishes first and surely that was one of the many things she really liked and adored about her flatmate. As much he can give her a hard time and especially sleepless nights, there still were so much more things with which he made easily up for that. Not to mention that he was also her biggest muse and inspiration she ever had.
Looking at Constantine with puppy eyes she pouted. "What do YOU want to do first sweetheart? Don´t worry no matter what I will have fun as long as you are with me."

It was funny to her, than again. She made sure most things were. Aria closed her eyes when Korso rubbed her head. She was glad her hair wouldn't get messed up easily, or else she would be swatting his hand away. She then laughed at him talking about how other people found him intimidating. "I can't imagine why," She said slyly before she watched a waiter with a martini walk to them and offer them some drinks. Aria, loving the olives that came with the martini, gently took one. She took a sip, loving the flavor of the olives mixing with the alcohol. "Please do, I am starving a little and I haven't ate that long ago." Aria said, letting her father know how much her nerves had acted up. She then watched a curly blonde haired girl walk passed them as well as her father looking after. This made her frown at him. "She looks half your age," Aria stated before taking another sip of her drink. Then Elias walked up and asked her how she was doing. This made her a bit surprise to see one of her father's men walk up to her when next to her father. They usually left her alone. Elias once again had impressed her. He had impressed her many times he came in her shop for flowers. But this took a new surprise. Though before she could reply, her dad spoke before complimenting him. "I am fine Elias, as you know I am not a fan of huge crowds, but thank you for asking. It's a pleasure to see you tonight," Aria said, showing off her manners. She then lifted her hand up for him to kiss, but she was gagging internally. She hated having to shove her hand up to him. But her Dad would kill her if she didn't do it. Then Aria heard Aurora speak back to Korso, causing her to look at the blonde. Her emerald eyes gazed at her with a bit of judgement. She really didn't like it when women flirted with her father in front of her. As she had no idea Aurora was his entertainer.

"Let's get a drink first," he said, "Before they run out of the good stuff."
It seemed that Elizabeth was sticking with him. She was all about 'we'. That was probably better for him anyways. He didn't exactly feel like ending up in someone's bed that night. He was allowed to take a break too. But Elizabeth was easily excited by all the going on. He was sure they would drink, eat and dance their hearts out to Korso's little tune, being drawn in by the glitz and the glam and the music.
But Constantine wasn't going to turn down food and drink. They would be a fool not to. Especially when these things were on someone else's dime. Not to mention, if it was all poisoned, at least they had fun before they kicked the bucket. A morbid way of thinking, but that was Constantine's outlook on life in general.

Post by Beatrice Harris on Jun 20, 2017 13:11:38 GMT -6
She was never the one for these sorts of social gatherings, but upon constant urging from a few of her wealthier residents, Ms. Harris decided to drag herself to the beachfront club and speakeasy. The spinster missed the pleasure of indulging herself in her youth. Spending a weekend with Harold's producer friends and having a cocktail or three was one of the happiest moments from her nostalgia. If she had to be frank, any moment with Harold was one of the happiest moments of her previous life. Harold Tremaine, the kindest, yet cruelest man I've ever known... she reflected as she strolled down the block.
Beatrice approached the entrance to the Moonlight Lounge, blissfully hiding her shock as she peered into the main lounge. The women with their short hair and even shorter skirts. "Whores... all of them..." she murmured, "wasting their lives away on such impractical measures..." The woman tapped her cane and strolled towards the edge of the room. Perhaps she could gain some more profit from this event. There are plenty of young ones who would be buzzed or intoxicated out of their minds, and they'd need a place to stay if they couldn't go back home. The possibilities were nearly endless...

Post by Salvatore Ross on Jun 20, 2017 13:18:06 GMT -6
Salvatore was walking through the streets, just to take his mind off things. He always walked, it was the only thing he seemed to enjoy. The night was silent but, he stopped hearing fireworks in the distance. He rolled his eyes, ' A party. ' People and loud music was really not his thing. He continued to watch as they went off. It seemed like it was going off where the Korso family lived. Which made him dread it even more. He checked his watch, 8:00pm. He sighed to himself, looking back up at the smoke the fireworks left. Maybe he should give this party a shot. Who knows? Maybe he'll find more information about the crooked cops that killed his parents. He chuckled to himself some, because just the thought of him finding out - just the thought of him killing them. He shrugged, ' Eh, why not? ' He started to walk towards the party.
As he continued to walk, he heard the people of Gatsberry laughing and squealing in joy. It's been a while for this city to have some type of fun. He walked past a few more buildings and there it was. Cars lined up to park, people in gowns and tuxes, the sound of music blaring. He stood there and watched. Salvatore was always a lone wolf. You would hardly ever see him with anyone. After that scaring he had, he lost trust for anyone. ' Lets get this shit over with. ' He continued to walk closer and closer to the steps of this big house. He could already feel eyes on him, which made him clench his fists. He hated people, even more if they stared at him.
He got to the big doors and looked inside, the place was filled with people. A gentleman walked up to him, " Would you like me to take your coat, sir? " Salvatore stared at him, then decided it was going to get hot in there. The last thing he wanted was to be burning up in a place like this. He nodded at the snazzy looking gentleman and took off his coat, handing it to him. " Thanks. " The gentleman nodded then, walked to put his coat with the others he had gotten from others. He started to walk inside fully and peaked around. This place was nice, very clean and well polished. He smirked some and went straight for the drinks, seeing Pepsi right away. He always drank Pepsi with his father. He smiled a little and grabbed it, taking a sip. A gently ah whispered through his lips as he took the first sip. He peaked back up at everyone, ' I guess this isn't so bad. ' But, the night had just begun.

Post by Al Cellini on Jun 20, 2017 13:25:07 GMT -6
Al listened to what Peter had said, it was a witty and snide kind of remark, "Looks like ya put on a li'l weight." Al, widened his eyes and jumped right up and became playful. He got close to his face and said, "How rude!" He stepped back and began to laugh. He liked how peter was always quick with a remark. He never held back, it reminded him of himself sometimes. "If yur thinkin' wha' I'm thinkin', it will be!" Al grabbed onto his arm and said, "Great minds think alike!"
He couldn't help but laugh at the rest of his playful remarks. One remark stayed in his mind and made him think, The kings of Gatsberry. Al then grinned placing a finger on his chin and thinking of the titles. He then chuckled and said, "That has a good ring to it actually! Much better than something with Don in it." He said playfully towards Peter, making a jab at Korso. He then grabbed Peter's arm and said, "Oh, if you insist!" He batted his eyes and brought a hand up to his mouth, becoming a goofball. He then laughed and started heading down the fire escape and said, "But, I gotta look the part especially if you're wearing that!" He stopped and said, "How did you even get that!?" Al lost interest quick and didn't wait around for an answer to his question. He jumped down into the alleyway seeing a man walking. The man had to be intoxicated and was not in the right mindset.
Al started walking towards the man and looked around for something to pick up. He peaked up at Peter and shrugged becoming a little hesitant. He didn't know exactly what to do but needed the man's suit. He looked around on the ground and saw a piece of wood broken off from what was once a barrel. He grabbed it and held it in his hands for a moment, he slowly crept up on the man and swung the wood. CRACK! The man had fallen to the ground and was knocked out cold. Al peaked up at Peter and said, "That was easy, Gingersnap!" He started to strip the man and change out of his clothes and into his suit. He laid his clothes near the fire escape so he would remember where he left them. He dusted off some of the dirt the suit had collected from the man falling. He popped the collar of the suit and smirked saying, "Okay! How do I look?" He held his hands out and did a quick spin.

Post by Lacie Rourke on Jun 20, 2017 13:43:41 GMT -6
So many things were going on. The town was buzzing with excitement over the opening of that new Moonlight club, where all the fancy adults would go have fun and talk with each other and plot adult things. Lacie didn't really care about any of that. Feigning illness and fatigue to get her nanny to leave her alone for the rest of the night had thankfully worked, and Papa was out late on police business again, so Lacie had the entire night to sneak out and run amok with Peter. For once, Lacie wasn't dressed in the ratty clothes that she kept hidden under the floorboard of her bedroom for that. In fact, she was dressed in one of her own dresses, one reserved for nice dinners that Papa had her attend in their dining hall when he had important and stuffy looking guests over--however, it was a fairly new dress that no one had seen her in during her rare appearance with her grandpa in public. Hopefully no one would recognize her; she hardly saw anyone when she was dressed fancy anyway. Lacie was carrying a suit she'd bought at a nearby apparel shop, wondering briefly if she had appropriately guessed Al's size as she headed toward the party. She'd only met the guy in passing a couple of times and hadn't really talked to him, she just knew he'd had a growth spurt--Oh. "Well that's fantastic," Lacie commented with a sigh at the sight of a guy, knocked out in the ground and in nothing but his breeches, and a smirking Al. "You couldn't've waited five more minutes?" she asked, gesturing to the suit in her arms. (( Lacie's dress design is here, the blue one in the picture. However, the blue color is replaced with pink in this event, while the white stripes remain white. ))

"She looks half your age," Aria said to Korso after eyeing Aurora.
Lifting his eyebrow, he glared at his daughter playfully before he was suddenly poked on the cheek. "Missed me hot shot?" He was instantly greeted by Aurora's attention. "Speaking of which..."
Koros took her hand and kissed it. "I've wept every day in your absense. How are ya doin', doll?" He raised his hand to the crowd. "Is this party to your likin'?" His eyes widened upon noticing Beatrice Harris walking through his establishment's doors. "It can't be. Tell me that isn't Miss Harris, here, in public." He shook his head with disbelief. "I guess even she couldn't resist the party."
With that said he stepped to the side to block his daughter from her view, which gave Elias the chance to notice her.

"A drink? That sounds perfect!" Giving her mate a bright smile Elizabeth went right on to hurry towards the bar. There was no time to waste now! After all the night only had some hours and who knew if she ever would get the chance again to go to such an event. At least at that young age were she was old enough to stay up all night and be able to enjoy all the benefits of being an adult woman. Sure there were some elder women like Cruella for example who still were as spirited and in shape as a young teenager but still who knew how Eliza would be at that age. Hell she even could as well find herself in heaven the next morning. After all there were true gangsters all around her.
As Elizabeth and John had made their way to the bar, the female again had quite the struggle to decide what to drink. However after a bit of moving back and forth in her thoughts about what to go for she decided to go for some good clean and fresh water with a piece of lemon in it. If she wanted something else she surly could still come back later. Also right now the food was more important to her since once she had the drink she already dragged Constantine with her to the variety of offers for meals and snacks of all kind. Not that the male seemed to be bothered by it or at least that was what Elizabeth thought.
