Archer tilted his head, grinning at the fact he got under his skin. Fucking smart-ass brat. That is my middle name, don't wear it out. He contained his humorous thoughts, managing not to laugh. I don't think the setting was right for laughter, anyways. I would be you signing your own death sentence. He noticed Sykes studying him, he began to feel uncomfortable and shifted in his chair some. Why the hell does he keep studying me? He looked down for a moment only to look up and see him rounding the desk. He walked behind him, it made Archer's hairs stand. He felt uncomfortable with him being near him and it made him have his guard up. He took a breath only for him to hold it as he felt his chair whipped around. Archer held in his gasp, jumping a little from being startled. Who wouldn't in this scenario? He stared at him and listened. "Now, if someone were to see you leave here or saw you walk in with me and start to ask you why or what happened... Am I going to be able to trust you to keep your mouth shut? "
Archer stared at him, hesitating and tried to put together his thoughts. He sighed and then said, "I guess, I would tell them I was seeing if you all were hiring." Archie was quick with stories and always remembered the details. He grinned and said, "Guess I didn't make the cut." He shrugged and grinned at him. He stared right back into his eyes and felt confident with his answer. He might just get out of this alive, "Your loss though." or not. He made the sarcastic yet playful comment to him, raising an eyebrow. He definitely was pushing his luck but didn't care at this point. He has a talent with accepting the chances of what is to come. He could die? That is it. What else does he have to lose? His impulsive, sarcastic self began to show again. He was witty and quick but had to were on self control. Starting with his mouth.

Thaddeus listened to him, rolling his eyes a little. Why would he try an hire someone like him? Although, that was an idea to keep a better eye on this kid. He continued to stare at him, " Alright kid, I'm going to trust you. " He let go of the chair, " But, keep in mind... I have eyes and ears around this whole town so, don't even think about getting fucking sneaky. Got it? " He glared a little at him and walked back to his desk, drinking the last of his whiskey. Maybe this kid would like a job, he doesn't seem like he does anything really. The thought was still in his head.
Thaddeus peaked at the time and sighed, walking to a room and opened it. Releasing two large dobermans into the room, and they immediately went to the kid. They sniffed around at him and one growled a little. Thaddeus rolled his eyes and snapped his fingers, " Roscoe, DeSoto, leave the kid alone. " They obeyed and went to him, he peaked at the guards, " Let them outside and keep an eye on them. They need out for a bit before we head back home. " One of the guards, tried to get them to come but, they didn't seem to be obeying the guard. The other guard tried to grab one's collar and it snapped at him. Thaddeus facepalmed, " You both are useless. "

Archer rolled his eyes when he threatened him but nodded. "I don't think I want to talk about this to anyone, better yet remember the night." He shrugged and then began to get up. He was about to reach over and get the Pepsi he was given but was interrupted with Sykes getting up. He paused and watched him open a door. He widened his eyes as he watched as two doberman's came out. They walked right up to him. He watched them and grinned when they growled. I bet they're softies. Taught to be tough but they are still kind. He then heard snapping and then Sykes say,
" Roscoe, DeSoto, leave the kid alone. "
Archer continued to watch them and noticed how they listened, Yep, trained to be tough. He watched as Sykes asked for his guards to let them out. He held back a laugh when the dog snapped at them and then rolled his eyes. He bent down and then began to whistle lowly, he put out his hand and began to smile. He caught the dogs attention and watched how they looked over at him. Archie's smile began to turn into a grin and then said, "Come here, guys." One of the dogs started to approach him, the other one sat down, tilting his head to the side. The dog that approached him was Roscoe. He let him sniff his hand and then gently began to pet him. He spoke softly, "Good boy!" The other dog began to come over and Archie loved on him as well. "I knew you all were softies." He laughed as the dogs began to lick him.

Thaddeus was about to start yelling at the guards but, stopped. He peaked over seeing Archer call for them. He seemed kind of surprised. They only listened to him or Jack, seeing they went to him with no trouble was a surprise. This kid was just full of surprises. He leaned against the side of the wall, watching him play with them. He smirked a little, seeing how the dogs were being playful towards him. " They are trained to be tough but, they still turn out to be like that. " He shrugged, " I've had them since they were pups, both of them are a a pain in the ass but, I don't know where I'd be with out them to tell you the truth. " He widened his eyes some, surprised that he was telling him this. He rolled his eyes and cleared his throat, " How about you let them out, kid? Then, afterwards you can head off to wherever. I'm about ready to go home. " He stared at him.
He peaked at the time and sighed some. He usually wasn't at his office this late so, he was eager to get home and get some much needed sleep. He looked at the guards, " Open the door for him. " One of them nodded and opened it, holding it for Archer and the dogs. " Keep an eye on them, a'ight? " He smirked a little, staring at him once more.

Archer smiled at what he had said. He was somewhat shocked that he was actually sharing this. Correct me if I am wrong? Did he just get personal? Archie grinned to himself seeing that Sykes got on a personal level for a moment. He thought about when he used to have his own pet. It was his best friend, Copper. He got stolen from him though. They were inseparable. Archie was zoned out, focusing on memories of the pup. He snapped out of it when he heard him say,
"How about you let them out, kid? Then, afterwards you can head off to wherever. I'm about ready to go home. "
Archie was about to object, as much as he loved these dogs he just wanted to go home. He kept his mouth shut and just went along with it. He then listened to him chat with the guards. He heard him say, "Keep an eye on them." He grinned and did a thumbs up. He started to walk out, motioning for the dogs to follow, they happily followed along. He walked outside and then sat on the stairs. He sighed and watched as the dogs began to run around barking. He rolled his eyes and dropped his head into his hands, groaning, "I just want some sleep..."

Thaddeus watched as the kid gave him a thumbs up, walking outside as the pups followed happily behind him. He sighed some and peaked down, walking to his desk and saw back down. The guard closed the door back. Sykes peaked up, seeing he closed the door. He usually didn't let anyone handle his dogs alone, but he trusted the kid. he fixed his glasses and started to go through files. He stopped at one, peaking in it, running his fingers against the paper and stopped. " Son of a bitch... " He thought. One of his customers said once he got the money in a week, he would pay him back. Its been two weeks. His whole mood changed.
He picked up the phone beside him and started to press his number in. The phone rang and immediately got picked up, a nervous voice was on the other end of the phone. " Hey... Sykes, how are you? " Thaddeus immediately got even more mad, " Are you fucking kidding me? How am I? " It went silent and he continued as he grinded his teeth together, " I'm calling to ask you where my fucking money is, Red. It's been two weeks and you said a week. So, where is it? " You heard a nervous chuckle, " Well... You see... I still don't have it. " He started to mess with the wire that connected the phone to the dial. " What do you mean... you don't have it. " He said it slowly, growling a little in his tone. " Well, I had a problem with the family and I just... can't afford it still. Just one more w- " Thaddeus cut him off, slamming his hand on the desk, raising his voice, " There will be no ' just one more week. ' I want my damn money. If you don't bring it to me by noon tomorrow, I'll fucking end you. Got it? " He hung up before the man could plead and sighed, putting his hands on his face. He dragged them down slowly and got up, " I'm going home. "
One of the guards opened the door for him as he walked outside to where he saw the pups, " Roscoe, DeSoto... Come, we are going home. " He was pissed and just by his walking and his tone anyone could see it. He peaked up at Archie on the stairs, " You're free to go kid. Thanks for watching them. " The dogs immediately went to him as he started to walk off.

Archie just continued to sit there, his face covered with his hand, and craving sleep. He peaked back only to hear the outbursts coming from Sykes's office. Did someone make him mad again? He thought to himself as he listened. Archie thought that Sykes was an overly aggressive man. A man with a short fuse, I guess. He has been around his fair share of people that had a bad temper. None of them were like Sykes though. He thought to himself for a moment, How did I get myself into this situation. I always have to be curious and look where it got me. Archie let out a regretful sigh and then jumped from hearing the door open. He was still slightly startled from what had happened earlier that night. He peaked back at Sykes and listened to him call for his dogs. He started to stand hearing him say,
" You're free to go kid. Thanks for watching them. "
He felt relief as he heard those words leave his mouth. It was probably the best thing he has heard all night. "No problem, Sykes... Oh, try to relax a bit. You seem way to tense." He grinned slightly and stared at Sykes for a moment. He had to say it, everyone else was thinking it. He seemed like he was always angry and couldn't relax. He was letting to many things get to him. He smiled, grabbing his journal and watched as Sykes walked off. He inhaled deeply, looking up to the sky and smiling to himself. He ran a hand through his hair, turning around, and heading off the steps. He began to walk away and hoped that he would never get in that situation again.

Thaddeus sighed to himself as he continued to walk off, he peaked back at the kid that seemed relieved that he let him go. He peaked down some and then said aloud as the kid was walking off, " I hope to see you again, kid. Be safe out there. " He smirked a little, the dogs watched him as he walked off. Sykes peaked down at them and petted their heads, " C'mon, I'm sure you'll see him again. " He started to walk off and the dogs followed on each side beside him. He was more calmer now to be out of that office and to go home. He hated being cooped up in that office, but yet it was what he did. He loved his business, he has always loved it. But yet, that time where he gets to go home just let the stress melt away.
After a few blocks, he got to his house. His house wasn't very big but, it was nice. It was all he needed for him and his pups. He walked up the steps and grabbed his keys, unlocking the door. The dogs immediately zoomed inside and went straight to get food from their bowls. Thaddeus couldn't help but smile, " You all are ridiculous sometimes. " He took off his shoes and then walked to his couch, laying on it then let out a long 'ah' sound. He was finally able to relax.
