I'm not mean. I'm brutally honest. It's not my fault the truth hurts.

Esmeralda walked into the main room of the Marcello's Headquarters with Djali following close behind. "This place is so huge. I'm surprised I haven't gotten lost yet" Esmeralda thought. Djali was nudging her leg softly. "Oh yeah, you must be hungry." Esmeralda dug out a few carrots from her pockets, and giving them to Djali. "Sorry Djali. Moving here has been so stressful, I think I forgot to feed myself." She said while petting his head.

Phillip had just finished his buisness at the Marcellos headquater when he passed by a beautiful yet so far unfamiliar face. However it wasn´t only the goregous looking woman that he had to look for a second time while passing and even had to pinch himself to make sure he wasn´t dreaming. A FUCKING GOAT? What on earth would do a goat at a headquarter? Had the boss or any of his daughters a new strange liking of uncommon pets? Or is this the new interpretation of serving the boss fresh food? Either way Phillip felt disturbed as much as intrigured by this sight. "And I thought I had seen pretty much everything out there, yet a goat at a headquarter is definitely new."

Esmeralda was about to take out another carrot when she heard a voice.
"And I thought I had seen pretty much everything out there, yet a goat at a headquarter is definitely new." the voice said. Quick turning around, she saw a tall hansom man. Well, he's new. I haven't met him yet. "Well, aren't you polite." Esmeralda said sarcastically. Didn't even tell me his name... "Who are you? You know the Marcellos obviously if you're here, but what's your relation to them?" Crossing her arms, moving to stand behind Djali, a bit weary of the man. He's taller than me and probably stronger. If anything happens, I have Djali with me though.
Djali noticed Esmeralda getting more tense. He moved to stand directly in front of her, his head lowering to how his horns.

"Well aren´t you restrained." Phillip countered with a chuckle at the female. Something told him they actually may get along. Given that he would get past the goat. "You know Miss, you are asking quite much of information for not giving any in return." Smirking he was just about to step closer to the stranger but seeing the goat being obviously in protection mode he decided to stay where he was. Stitching and nursing others back together was one thing. But trying to fix himself was a bother he wanted to prevent. Thanks to his two, three if you consider taking care of Anita as one as well, jobs he already had enough of work to do.
"Well dearie my name is Phillip Kingston. Often enough I am rather referred to as doctor or doc though given my primary job at the hospital and offical title. Now how may I adress you and your ... pet?"

"Well aren´t you restrained." the man said with a small laugh. Restrained. What is that suppose to mean? I'm being cautious. Esmeralda thought, getting slightly irritated. She looked down at Djali, trying to plan out how this conversation would turn out. However, her thoughts were interrupted when the man spoke again.
"You know Miss, you are asking quite much of information for not giving any in return." He said. Esmeralda looked back up at him with a straight face. "Well dearie my name is Phillip Kingston. Often enough I am rather referred to as doctor or doc though given my primary job at the hospital and official title. Now how may I address you and your ... pet?"
Pet? Djali's more than a pet. Well, I guess that's a better term than anything else he could have said. Esmeralda was a little hesitant on giving her name. But he still answered my question, so it's only fair. "Of course I'm restrained from a stranger. I'm a helpless young women in a new land. Who knows what might happen." She said with a teasing tone, and a slight smile. "Well, Doctor Kingston" she started, adding emphases on his title and last name, "I'm Esmeralda Agnes, and this Djali." She explained, petting Djali's head. "I'm a nurse, and he's my assistant." She came out from behind Djali a little, feeling a bit more at ease, but still not letting her guard down. "Specifically the Marcello's family nurse." She added. "I just moved here from France."

"Helpless?" Phillip repeated with a chuckle since he didn´t quite believe that ... at all. "Excuse me baby but you don´t seem to that helpless at all. You rather seem like a woman that can very well take care of herself, not to mention you even got quite the bodyguard there with you." He said, poiting a hand to the goat. Surely he wouldn´t want Djali to hit him. At her tell about where Esmeralda was from and what her profession was his expressions got softer though. "A fellow european here at the headquater? Now that I didn´t expect, not to mention someone that is from the medical field just as well. Well welcome to Gatsberry then baby. I have to say though when things get bloody you should keep your assistant away from the patients though ... or rather from their wounds. Actually to have an animal to focus on or even pet while getting a treatment may not be the worst idea. Given of course your friend there is people friendly."

"Excuse me baby but you don´t seem to that helpless at all."
Esmeralda raised an eyebrow her face a little at the word "baby". She didn't really like being called that, especially by someone new. It made it seem like they were closer than they actually were, when she only just learned his name a few seconds ago.
"You rather seem like a woman that can very well take care of herself, not to mention you even got quite the bodyguard there with you."
She smiled to herself a little. "Right on both accounts. Djali doesn't take kindly to strangers." She said, petting Djali's head. He really has always been there for her, more than anyone else.
"A fellow European here at the headquarter? Now that I didn´t expect, not to mention someone that is from the medical field just as well." Fellow European?, she thought to herself. "Well welcome to Gatsberry then baby." Again, she twisted her face a little at the nickname.
"I have to say though when things get bloody you should keep your assistant away from the patients though ... or rather from their wounds. Actually to have an animal to focus on or even pet while getting a treatment may not be the worst idea. Given of course your friend there is people friendly."
"Thank you for the welcome. So, you're from Europe as well? What area if you don't mind my asking. And I will have you know, I clean Djali before I tend to any wound. He actually helps me. He can get anything I need if my hands are full. But you're right. Letting a patient focus on something else, like Djali, it can calm them down." She paused for a second. "He can tell the difference between a patient and a tall, dark, handsome stranger." She actually didn't mean to say 'handsome' but that was the way the saying goes. Oh well, it's not like it was a lie.
