It's a hard job, but someone's got to do it

Ryan Shirogane had been more or less captivated by Anita Page the moment they first met. She was young, but spunky and had a great sense of humor. It was no surprise that the two had become good friends. With all the press and glamor of Hollywood, she was surprisingly down to earth. After her latest film, there was no doubt in his mind that she was just as fantastic as ever. As such he had decided to surprise her by sending her flowers congratulating her on the accomplishment. It only made sense, after all, that's what friends did.
So he found himself wandering around town, looking for the only flower shop he knew of. Aria Marcello's shop had to be around here somewhere. Worst case he would stop and ask for directions. 30 minutes more of wandering had led to Shiro just about giving up on this whole adventure. However, it seemed fate had a funny sense of humor. There he was lost as ever but yet somehow in front of his destination. It was impossible to miss, after all, there were flowers everywhere. At first, the place seemed like a mass of flowery chaos, but he had to admit the place was actually quite pretty. The more he looked the more he was fascinated by what he saw. As he made his way toward the register he was so busy staring he had completely forgotten why he'd been looking for Miss Marcello in the first place. It wasn't until he bumped into a shelf that he was brought back to reality. The plant resting on it had been jostled and started falling toward the floor. Quickly Shiro grabbed it, rescuing the plant and holding it up triumphantly. He was completely unaware of the dirt which had found a new home on his cheek. He froze as someone made a sound behind him.

I may be the youngest Marcello, but I'm the most stubborn.

Aria was by the front door arranging some flowers while watering others. She was placing the summer's favorite in her display window. The summer favorite was her signature white roses. They were the only ones that were bright white in this town and it was why people came to her for them. Some tried to get her to spill her secret, but she never told. To be honest she didn't know what she did either. But she didn't question it, she didn't even try to plant her flowers slow to see what she did. Due to she feared it would mess them up. And why mess up a good thing?
Aria stood up and cleaned her hands with a wet rag when she heard the bells go off. She turned around and saw a customer come in. She saw a tall man with black hair walk in. She finished fixing a pot before she started to head to him. But before she could she watched how the man bumped into a shelf. Her eyes widened as she hurried to him. She went to catch the plant, but he beat her to it. So she stood there in a silly position with wide eyes. But once she realized he really did catch it she fixed her posture.
"Aren't you quick, I was half expecting it to fall. The plants are very fast when they fall. I have lost track how many have broke," Aria laughed a little before she placed her arms behind her. "Anyway welcome to Aria's Floral, my name is Aria and I'll be here to assist you. What brings you in today?" Aria said, greeting this new customer of hers.

Shiro couldn't help but laugh slightly in relief as the lady began to speak. He turned to face her, still awkwardly holding the plant in his arms. "I'm sure there have been many casualties." he joked. He wasn't sure if he should put it back and risk it falling again, or if putting it on the floor would be any safer. Maybe they needed to invest in higher shelves? That or maybe sturdier ones? Well, if clumsy people like himself continued coming here accidents were bound to happen no matter what. So, he just held the pot, trying to make it look as natural as he could. As Aria introduced herself, he nodded "I've heard a lot of things about your shop so I wanted to come check it out."
"What brings you in today?" At her question, a grin spread across his face. "I was hoping to buy some flowers!" He knew Anita was thrilled about her upcoming picture, and so he wanted to get her something to celebrate. "They're for a friend of mine, she's got an event coming up and I wanted to surprise her." The words came out in a bit of a jumbled mess, but he was pretty sure Miss Aria got the point. "My problem is, I don't know a lick about flowers at all. Could you help me?"

"I was hoping to buy some flowers! They're for a friend of mine, she's got an event coming up and I wanted to surprise her. My promise is, I don't know a lick about flowers at all. Could you help me?"
Aria smiled at how the man was babbling about his friend whom he wanted to give flowers to. She crossed her arms as she listened to him before laughing a little when spoke about not knowing about flowers. She brought her right hand to her cheek while the pointer finger brushed against her lips. "May I ask what type of event it is? And do you happen to know your friend's favorite color?" Aria asked as she started to look around at the flowers she had for this type of thing. But of course she needed to know the answers to her questions before she went to a certain area of her store.
"I have lots of flowers for events, but some are for certain events while others are for different ones. As for color, it is always good to go with one's favorite if you do not know what type of flowers they like," She said, giving a little bit of advice before she turned when another customer walked in. "Welcome to Aria's floral!" Aria said before she looked at one of the girls she had hired. The girl quickly went to the customer and started to help.
She was starting to like that her father suggested to hire two girls to help around the store. Today had been busy and she needed them. Usually she would ask Dante for help, but he was getting busier and busier lately. She barely saw him. Ray almost seemed busy too, but she didn't mind much for she had saw him the other day. She needed to get back to her flowers anyway.

While the initial plan had been to just pick up some flowers for Anita, it was becoming more and more clear that he was out of his element. It was becoming slightly uncomfortable to keep holding the plant, and after a moment he decided it was going to have to go on the floor. Once he was sure it was out of harm's way, he turned back to Miss Aria who had her arms crossed. He blinked in surprise as she asked what event it was for and then replied. "It's a movie premiere. She's been working very hard in trying to make sure it goes smoothly and I wanted to surprise her." He smiled and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. It had just occurred to him that this was probably something people didn't normally do. Which was really a shame, people deserved to get flowers a sign of appreciation regardless of what they did. Maybe he would send some to the commissioner? That could be entertaining. "I have lots of flowers for events, but some are for certain events while others are for different ones. As for color, it is always good to go with one's favorite if you do not know what type of flowers they like," He paused, "I think her favorite color is blue. I don't know what kind of flowers she'd like though." He shrugged slightly.
