Ray was having coffee at his preferred table in the café when he heard the horrible things that Korso's men were saying happened to Aria.
"I heard they stripped her naked and tried to rape her. If Dante hadn't shown up when he did who knows what would have happened to the girl." One guy said to another. And while he could have been talking about either of Korso's girls he instinctively knew they meant Aria. Ray dropped a bill on the table and was out the door in seconds not caring about change or anything like that he just had to see her. He had to know she was alright.
He opened the door to her shop and looked around carefully making sure there was no one else in the little store before he began looking through the flowers looking for their caretaker. Finally he was tired of hunting for her. "Aria?! Kitten, where are you?!" He called out. If anything of what those two had said was true sneaking up on her was not going to be good for her. He started to breath harder worried she wasn't there and that something else had happened to her or that she was at home with a doctor or any other number of horrible things. He moved toward the counter that had a door behind it where Aria's back room and office were. He really hopped she was there.

Aria was in the backroom, checking on the flowers that needed to be in more of a cold environment. There was ice in the back to help with that. She honestly wanted to be home, but her Dad insisted she get out of the house and work at her shop. After all she needed to watch her flowers and make sure her store would be safe from the storm. So far everything looked good, she was just going to have to put boards up to protect the windows and the flowers. But she was a bit worried that she would still come back to some damage. All she could do was really pray.
Once she made sure her flowers were okay she went to the bathroom to use it. Though she didn't look at herself in the mirror. Every time she looked in the mirror, she could just imagine what she looked like on the hook. It was painful to see herself in the mirror. She also tried not to look at the bruises on her wrists. Even though it had been two days since the incident, it felt like it just happened. And she could still feel those disgusting men's hands on her. And she was trying her best not to blame herself, due to Dante and Charlotte telling her it wasn't, but it still felt like it. She still hated how her body reacted to their touches but she tried to not put herself down. It was hard, but she was doing it. But she also did this by not looking into mirrors.
She walked out, not hearing Ray's voice due to being in the bathroom. So she walked to the door to go back out into the store, but the moment she opened the door she saw a tall figure. Aria suddenly let out a piercing yell and backed up before tripping over a bottle she knocked down. She fell backwards and landed on her side. Her emerald eyes looked up in absolute horror as the figure quickly rushed into the room. "Please, don't!" Aria whimpered out before she saw the face of the figure. Her eyes widened more as she held her breath in relief when she saw it was Ray.
"Ray?" She asked out and when she saw him nod she felt herself break a little. Tears formed in her eyes before her face now expressed the full horror she was feeling. "Y-you scared me," She whimpered.

Ray hear her fall and yell and rushed into the room. If he hadn't believed it before her reaction before she knew it was him was all the proof he needed that something happened to his princess.
His eye widened as he saw the fear when she looked up and his heart broke. "I'm so sorry Princess." he said quietly as he knelt down in front of her. He didn't get to close to her though even though he wanted to hold her to him and protect her. He saw women that had been hurt like this back in Chicago. Days, weeks, months, sometime even years after they still had trouble with people being close to them. Especially men and especially if that man tried to touch them intimately. So he kept his distance and stayed right in front of her.
He saw the bruises on her wrists and his jaw tightened. I wanted to kill someone but right now he didn't need to be anywhere but here. He reached out his hand to her, a silent offer to help her up if she wanted his help.

Aria covered her mouth when Ray knelt down to her, she looked at him in pure relief. Of course her eyes also showed how scared she was for a second there. He told her sorry and she only shook her head, telling him he didn't need to say sorry. She wasn't talking to him, but she was just trying to catch her breath. She needed to breathe right now or else she would go into a panic attack, something she was also struggling with lately. So she watched him move to her but kept some distance, respecting her. This made her feel even worse, for she didn't want him to be too far from her. Yes she was scared, but she knew he wasn't the one that hurt her.
So when he reached out his hand she quickly moved to him, ignoring his hand as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She held onto him for dear life as her face buried itself into his shoulder. "I-I thought you were one of them... I thought you were going to hurt me," Aria said as she held herself close to him. "I'm so happy it is you," Aria breathed out as she cried a little in relief. She took a moment to calm herself down, but she calmed down a bit quicker due to having Ray's arms around her. Again she felt safe. Her face stayed buried in his shoulder and she hugged him a bit tighter. Of course it wasn't enough to hurt him, but it told him the message.
After she calmed down she explained what happened to her. From start to the beginning. When she was done she moved away from him a little. "I-I'm sorry I could not fight them off," Aria said as she looked up at him with tears in her eyes.

Ray was surprised when she jumped into his arms and held him tightly. He put his hands on her hip and back keeping her close. She cried about how she was so scared when she thought he was one of the ones that hurt her and how happy she was to see him. And then she went on to say how sorry she was she couldn't fight them off. She had pulled away slightly looking up at him tearfully.
"You have nothing to be sorry for Kitten." He told her keeping his voice soft as he reached up and brushed a tear from her check. He gently pulled her to him again holding her close as she placed one hand on her back and the other stroked her hair gently.
"And Princess I'm going to take a guess here. There was more then one of them? They were bigger then you?" He took her wrist lightly in one of his hands an lifted it up giving it a soft kiss. "And you were tied up? Kitten I'd have trouble fighting people off under those conditions." He said soothingly. "And I've been fighting since I could walk an' talk." He kissed her forehead. "You have nothing to be sorry for."
He took her over to her desk in the back and gently lifted her legs putting her on the table while not letting her go or making her let him go. "I heard some of your dad's men say you were hurt. I want you to know I'm here for you whatever you need." He rubbed her back lightly as he spoke.

Aria closed her eyes when she felt him wipe a tear from her cheek. He then hugged her once more, causing her arms to wrap around him tightly. Keeping him close to her as he stroked her hair. Which was making her feel more relaxed now. But when started to make a guess at how there were two men, and how they were bigger, she nodded against his shoulder. Though she winced a little when he grabbed her wrist before whimpering just slightly when he kissed it.
"And you were tied up? Kitten, I'd have trouble fighting people off under those conditions. And I've been fighting since I could walk an' talk. You haven othing to be sorry for."
Aria looked up at him a little, wanting to see the sincerity in his eyes. And when she did, she felt her heart soar a little. She was starting to be very thankful that he came to her shop today. He then picked her up and placed her on a table, giving her another hug once he sat her down.
Aria's arms got a little tighter, but just like before she made sure to not hurt him. Though she wondered if she would even be able to hurt him. She kept her face buried into his chest while he rubbed her back. He told her he was there for whatever she needed. This made her pull away and smile a little at him.
"You mind staying here while I work on things?" Aria said before she looked at the two guards at the front of the store. Her eyes narrowing a little in sadness before she looked up at Ray, her smiling coming back. "They are all work and no talk.." Aria said as she tried to make a little joke.

Ray smiled when she asked him to stay with her for a while. He nodded in understanding when she said her guards were all work and didn't talk to her much. Most guards were like that. He cupped her jaw softly. "I'll stay as long as you want Kitten." He kissed her for head and helped her down off the desk. He brushed a few stray tears from her check before moving to let her get back to work. "So how can I help Princess?" He asked with a grin as he took off his jacket. He unbuttoned the cuffs of his white button up shirt and rolled them up to his elbows to keep them from getting too dirty. "You need help prepping for the storm?" He asked thinking about all her windows which she would probably have to replace after the storm no matter what she did. (OOC: Sorry it's short I wasn't sure where to go after what she went through Ray isn't going to be handsy even playfully. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/6761253/images/RMiJsrRMiWwcaYFsDgWs.png) )

Aria smiled when Ray told her he would stay. He kissed her forehead which in return she gave him a kiss on the cheek before he pulled away to help her down. He then wiped a few tears from her face. She then dusted off the front of her skirt before she looked around to see what Ray could help her with. But she easily got distracted when she saw him take off his jacket. She watched him unbutton his cuffs before rolling them up. This made her smile a little. "That is a good look on you," Aria joked before she looked away. Then Ray asked her if she needed to be prepped for the storm. This made her turn back to him and nod.
"Yes, I need help lifting the boards to the windows.. I am a little too weak to do all of that right now," Aria said as she frowned just a little. "I will most likely fixing the windows after, but a girl can try to protect her windows, right?" Aria asked before she looked back at the front windows. "Meanwhile I shall remove all of the flowers away from the windows," She said before she untied her apron and retied it a bit tighter around her waist.
"The boards are in the back, so are the hammer and nails," Aria said before smiling at him before she went to work and started moving the flowers. Some flowers were a bit heavy, but she was able to do it. Though when she got to one of her plants that had a big pot, she pulled it before she lost grip and fell back. Immediately she started to laugh before she forced the plant to move with her. "Come on you stubborn thing!" Aria giggled before she got it where she wanted. And once she was done with that plant she stood up and stretched before she watched Ray finish up one of the windows.
"You are really fast at that," Aria said with her eyes a bit wide.

Ray smirked as Aria watched him roll up his sleeves. She seemed to like his arms and he was perfectly ok with that. He grabbed the hammer, nails and boards and brought them to the front of the store and he got to work on boarding up the window's. Honestly the faster they were covered the less Korso's men would come in and ask him questions. These guys might be good as guards in general but they seemed to be the 'out of sight out of mind' types and he really didn't want word of him getting back to Korso right now.
When Aria seemed to struggle with one of the flower pots Ray almost ran to help her, but she got it under control and got the large plant into the back room with little trouble. He smiled at that she may not feel like she had much strength but she was stronger then she realized.
He grinned when Aria commented on how fast he was working and laughed lightly. "I had to do some manual labor back in Chicago so I know how it's done." He told her. He then saw Aria heading toward an even larger flower and pot and he intercepted her. "Let me get this one for you Kitten, please." He knew her wrists were straining after what she went through physically and she didn't need to fracture any bones that was for sure. He picked it up and carried it to the back. "Where do you want this one?" He asked as he turned slightly to look at here still holding the large pot.
