Mierda, mierd, mierda. Miguel cursed in spanish as he ran under the rain. Between his hands had the supplies he had bought on the market in case he got stuck at the restaurant due to the hurricane. He had was carrying mostly food but he had also a new maganizine and a brand new notebook he was planning to use for his new recipes. But he hadn't thought about the possibility of not getting to the restaurant. Stupid weather. Now he had to find shelter, and quick! He turned a corner and saw the Roaring Times. He barely read it's newspaper but after inspecting the structure for a second he concluded it was a good place to crash and wait for the weather to get better.
He he ran towards the building and entered without asking anyone if I told was okay. It was open and that was enough for him. He looked around and saw some workers staring st the window with long faces and worried expressions. He guessed most of them had families to meet. Miguel was somehow glad he had no one expecting him at home. He took off his wet jacket and hat and then check on his bags and food. It wasn't dry but the bags weren't broken and it seemed nothing was ruined. He smiled at the sight, he wasn't just as screwed a single he had thought in the beginning. After doing that he decided to sit on the couch near the entrance and wait. He took out the magazine and started reading it. He hoped he wouldn't be stuck on that place for more than a couple hours, but, you can never now, right?

Lucille took a stop by the Roaring Times to pick up a newspaper and she'd been waiting for her cousin to pick her up for the past twenty minutes. Growing restless, she then decided to just leave and take a cab home, hoping he'd be there with her stuff at least. Before Lucille could make it out the door, she was startled by the sudden sound of thunder. "Oh no...", she mumbled as she walked over to the nearest window to see the storm. A part of her was worried, but she thought that if she hurried and caught a cab, she could get home before the storm got worse. Lucille dashed for the exit, but she was stopped by a police officer.
"Sorry Ma'am, but we insist that you stay here for shelter. Hurricane Clyde will hit soon", the officer said as he lead her back inside then walked back out.
"A h-hurricane?", Lucille asked nervously. She walked away from the door and sat down in the corner along the same wall. Lucille held her knees close to her chest and took a few deep breaths before burying her face in her knees. She had never been in a hurricane area before, but she's seen the damage it could cause and that made her nervous.
