Artemis swore that the moment she could actually walk without being in some amount of pain, she was going to make Jackson Reed wish he was never born. Not that she could do that right now. After the incident, she'd more or less been stuck under house arrest with Dean as her warden. This had resulted in her being stuck indoors as the weather finally began to change for the worse. The Warden had gone out for the day, something related to his work. It didn't matter too much though because now Arty had a chance to sneak out and do something fun for once. Of course, once she got outside and far enough away from the hotel she realized this was in fact, a terrible idea. ah well I'm already out now, no sense in turning back In order to better outrun her neighbor should the need occur she'd opted to dress in a pair of slacks and one of Dean's shirts. She'd lost her apartment key sometime during the period she was unconscious. Though it wouldn't surprise her if one of the hooligans present had taken it. So long as they didn't show up in her room it was fine.
With a groan she glared up at the sky as it decided now would be an opportune moment to start pouring. Looks like the weather men were wrong again. The wind picked up suddenly. As Artemis looked around for a place to go take shelter, she spotted a tree branch snapping off and flying toward her. She ducked too late and it smacked the top of her head. With a few curses, Artemis painfully made her way into the Blue Lagoon Restaurant.

"Mais, it looks like Clyde couldn't wait to get here." Gaston mumbled to himself. He'd been halfway through his meal when the wind picked up and thunder started shaking the window panes. At that moment, he realized it had not been a smart move to go to the docks for lunch, and wished he could punch his past self. As it were, he simply kept eating. The food was good and he never liked wasting food, no matter if something around him was trying to kill him. Some of the staff were looking out windows themselves, talking low and wringing their hands. As he sipped his sweet tea, he happened to glance towards the front doors when he noticed movement there. A blonde youth, wet from the rain and a bruise forming on their head. He frowned, and looked over at the staff, who were too busy fretting about the weather to attend to their new patron.
He looked back at the new visitor and waved them down, asking, "You need something cold for that there goose egg on your noggin, kid?"

Artemis cursed again under her breath. She was an idiot for sure. Her head throbbed in pain, reminding her that the branch had only added to the damage done from her previous fight. She finally made it to the restaurant, pushing open the door and getting herself inside. The relief to be out of the storm was short lived. She'd have to go back out eventually, there was no way she could stay here the rest of the day. The main issue though was she felt immense pain every time she moved her head very quickly. At the rate she was going, it wasn't unlikely she might pass out again. Artemis scolded herself mentally for thinking along those lines, she would be fine. She had to be fine if she was going to make it back to her home in one piece.
No one seemed to have noticed her, the employees at the shop were all too busy staring out the window. From where she stood she could overhear a little of their conversations. They mostly were fussing about the sudden storm and what that meant for them. No one was paying any attention to the sopping wet girl who was standing by the door. The place was empty except for a guy who surprisingly took notice of her. "You need something cold for that there goose egg on your noggin, kid?" She blinked in surprise before reaching up to touch the spot where the branch had hit her. "Shit," she swore as the pain reminded her that had not been the smartest idea. Her fingers touched something wet, whether it was blood or just a result of being soaking wet she wasn't sure and she didn't really care at the moment. Her head hurt like hell regardless. She made a face and tried to regain her composure. The last thing she needed was some random guy getting involved in her mess. "it's nothing, just a scratch." She muttered. Her legs started feleing a little wobbly so she quickly sat in the booth with her new aquaintance before her legs could decide to give way. "I'm fine."
