Name: Cruella de Vil (born Susanne Lou Close).
Age: Isn't it rude to ask a lady her age? (it is over her late 40s for sure, though).
Alignment: Neutral.
Appearance: Cruella is a rather peculiar and eccentric woman, being particularly thin and tall (standing at 5'10"/180 centimetres), her features rather outlined and very sharply taken care of. Her most distinctive feature is undoubtly her black and white hair, a particular choice of style during the first years after her retirement.
Other than that, Cruella is known for wearing sleveless shift dresses, always of the finest materials. The rest of her figure is also usually concealed by trademark fur coatings, her particular obsession. Her hands are also usually concealed by red or black gloves, as to give her a more distinct look and to expose her inner strength.
Personality: Cruella is particularly hard to impressed, seeming mostly unfazed or bored by what is thrown at her. This becomes transparent whenever she is at work, in that she is incredibly demanding and can at some times be completely demeaning to people under her tutelage. She expects the best from those she works for or from those who work under her, and does not take any excuses for lackluster results.
Cruella can be discribed as being rather moody and bitter whenever talking about her decline from fame or the rise of silent movies, as she feels they robbed her of her career. She is prideful and arrogant for sure, even if she can at times swallow said pride when she finds a gold gem amongst her pupils.
There are also rumors about her foul temper, so it is wise to avoid deliberately upsetting her.
History: Susanne Lou Close was born in Tennessee in the early 1870s. Hailing from a rather rich family, Susanne was educated at home by private tutors to assure she was as worked on and developed as possible. It was back then that she discovered her love for singing and dancing, often rehearsing little plays to the sound of pianos and the sort.
By the time she was a young teenager, she had begun performing in several shows and recitals, even some of the Vaudeville kind, earning special praise and attention from her peers, lauding her massive talent and innovative skill. Hour long lines, tons of autographs, starlets and fame were the basis of Susanne's life as she made the theatre her main stage.
Her particular rendition of seductive, mischievous females got the eye of the public, which led her to take the stage name of "Cruella De Vil", as a sign of her embracing her inner "bad girl".
All was not roses, though, and the world of showbusiness and its pressures began getting to the young starlet; with several incidents with alcohol, chain smoking and other addictions eventually taking their toll on her career, leading to a decline as she neared her late thirties. Her voice becoming damaged and her age starting to show due to her habits, she slowly began to make less and less shows, having no one to blame but herself.
Following an accident that badly injured her back, she took a leave when she felt she should, ending up with a rather decent fame and prestige. Her education and knowledge of showbusiness were not for nothing, for she soon made use of her skills to design several lines of clothes, which amassed to her already great fortune.
For her later years, she dedicated herself to coaching new vocal and dancing talents for her personal amusement, wishing to bring out the "true talent" out of the new generations, for she greatly despised the rise of movies as an alternative for entertainment.
Gatsberry, in spite of its reputation, had always been kind to her lines of clothes and seemed to pack a taste for the extravagant and for art, which was why she decided to make it a permanent residence, changing her legal name to her stage name.
