History:
He came from a very wealthy and popular family among the town. His father's name was heard around the town for his business. His family was for helping the city turn its ways around. His mother would volunteer around the town at local business's to help. His father would take extra money and donate to the struggling owners at the time. He tried his best to inform the police on whenever he heard about anything going down. I guess you could say Salvatore and his father could be the same person. They were so close that you could tell they had undying love and loyalty for each other. Salvatore always respected his father for his morals and values. He was a man of his word. Salvatore had a good school life. He always worked hard towards his studies. He made it through school and knew that he wanted to work for the paper. He wanted to unfold huge stories and have justice just like his father. He wanted to work hard and make something of himself. He started working at the paper at the age of twenty with others who were new to the paper. They all worked only on a small section but they put hard work into it. He became close to a few of his colleagues as the time went by. After a couple of years they finally had an opportunity.
The young adults had a surprise when their boss walked in and told them about the promotion for a photographer and journalist position - combined. You would have a whole column in the newspaper about the crimes. Salvatore lit up hearing the news and worked his hardest. After days and nights with little sleep and countless cups of coffee it was time to announce who got the promotion. His boss announced that he didn't get it. It crushed him inside but he understood and didn't mind. Henderson ended up getting the promotion. He was and honest guy and good at his work. Who could blame the boss for picking him? Salvatore applauded Henderson with the others. He was truly proud of him. Throughout the time Henderson and Salvatore grew a little close. Henderson would always tell him when he was on to something. About five months later, Henderson came up to Salvatore like he has done before saying he was onto something. Salvatore noticed there was a little more caution and concern in his voice though.
About three days later when Henderson usually finishes the big story he never showed up that day. His boss came into the room and announced that the promotion was open again. Everyone was shocked to hear that. The boss wasn't going to be waiting for everyone's work again. He decided right then and there that Salvatore had gotten the job. Salvatore was almost sunned – he was frozen. He couldn't believe his boss had picked him for the job, he was concerned of Henderson, he wanted to know if his boss had fired him or if he had left.
After the day, he saw Henderson and he was clearing out his stuff. He heard that Henderson decided to leave on his own and was leaving town. Salvatore was confused and even more concerned about this rumor that was going around. He had to make sure it was the truth. He got off work after Henderson was already out of the room. Salvatore grabbed everything and hurried downstairs trying to catch him. He raced outside of the building and saw Henderson down the street some. He raced to catch up to him and was about to call out his name but saw men approach him and pull him into an alley. Salvatore became enraged and ran faster and stopped when he heard them discussing something. The men said, " We told you to get out of town Henderson – you were sniffing around our department for to long." Henderson became panicked and said, "I just was doing my job – I won't share anything. I-I didn't even know they were crooked cops... Patch and Rosco."
Salvatore widened his eyes when he heard the names. Those cops were the ones that played poker with his father every Friday night. He thought of all the time his father had trusted those men and told them whenever something was up. Salvatore was about to round the corner but heard a gunshot and then footsteps racing away. He raced to a payphone and was overflowing with emotions. He just heard his friend die but was terrified for his father's life. He made it to the phone and begin calling. Every ring began to make him shake – he was overflowing with emotions. He just heard his friend die but was terrified for his father's life. He made it to the phone and begin calling. Every ring began to make him shake with fear. He couldn't process what was going on.
His father heard the phone over the laughter of the cops joining him that evening to play poker. He walked into the kitchen and grabbed the phone, Salvatore said, "Dad.." His father lit up and replied, "Salvy, boy! What are you doing?" One of the cops came to where his father was – Rosco – and could somewhat hear. Salvatore's father smiled over at him. Salvatore busted out into emotions explaining what he just saw in a panic. Salvatore's father face became more concerned trying to calm his son over the phone, "Salv, calm down now. Say it again." Salvatore yelled out, "Get away from Rosco and Patch, they're bad cops! They have been using you and Henderson is dead! Get you and mom out now!"
Rosco overheard what Salvatore said and pulled out a gun and was smiling at his father, "I think you need to hang up the phone now" Salvatore heard the struggle of what was going on an began sprinting to their house. He ran as hard as he could begging and praying that he wasn't to late. He approached the house and saw the front door left open. He ran inside and saw items went through and a mess. He walked around and went into the kitchen and looked around. He saw a woman's hand sprung out from behind the counter. Rosco began to shake and walked around to find his mother lying on the floor dead. He became mortified, heartbroken, enraged and desperate to have another chance to bring her back. He then heard a groan from another room and knew that voice. He walked to the other room to see his father laying across the floor shot and bleeding out. Salvatore was still in tears and walked over to him. His father looked up at him and said, "Run, Salv... They'll be back... please, son...." Just like that his father and mother was gone. Salvatore did as he was told and ran out of the house and hid out for a night or two. He went to the docks and joined the sailors. He sailed for a couple of years staying away from the town. As the years passed his hate took over him and he became corrupt from it. He finally has come back to cause as much chaos as he can on the town. He will have no trusts, some plans and revenge to serve. He told himself, "I will have my own justice."
Like father like son – He's a man of his word.
