Elias was finally going out to eat with Melody in tow after doing pretty much nothing but care for Melody, work and sleep. There was groceries that needed buying and food that needed eating. He had a day off, nobody had called to request he clean a crime scene or finish some witness off, so he was just enjoying spending time with his daughter. She laughed every time she saw him and that made his heart happy. Someone found joy looking at him, instead of fear or distrust. His daughter was too young to know her daddy was a monster.
Elias walked quietly with Melody in her pram down the streets, people staring at the long haired man with the baby pram. It wasn’t very usual for a man to be with a baby like this, but he had no choice being a single father without a nanny. He stopped in front of a cheap little ma and pop restaurant and picked up Melody from the pram. She knuckled her eyes sleepily and stared at her father. He smiled at her before cradling her in one arm and walking into the restaurant.

Elizabeth just got to start her lunch break after sone hours of quite the work. The money was good and her tasks got her busy though as well didnt overdo it. Yet she still didnt really know what to think of her boss. As she arrived at her destination for the bit of free time she currently had she was just about to sit down at a single table when she just had the cutest sight ever. A little baby girl that was just too adorable to be real. With a high pitched yet gentle voice she approached the stranger with his child. "Awh oh my isnt that the most beautiful and lovable human being ever?"

Elias flinched when he heard the woman speaking, then realized that she was being non-combative, and she was addressing Melody, who was waving her hands merrily in the air as Elias held her. He looked at the woman then at his daughter and back to the woman. "...Do you want to hold her?" He wasn't afraid of the woman taking off with his daughter; if she tried he'd shoot out her knees. Simple.

Elizabeth looked at the baby with sparkling eyes. The way the little one was looking at her dad and waving her tiny arms was just too adorable. It has been quite a long time since Eliza had interacted with a baby or even a child but obviously she sure was a fan of them. Of course that was pretty much only until they would start the cry or too wild or in other words annoying. Yet related kids were a whole different topic. Them she loved and cared for no matter what.
"Hold her? Of course! I would love to hold this little princess!" Getting even closer to the male and his little one Eliza reached out her arms towards the baby and gave her one of the most gentle and brightest smile she got to offer that time.

Elias smiled slightly and passed Melody over to the woman, Melody gurgling happily and reaching up to the woman's face to touch her nose. Melody loved noses, she was always grabbing or bopping her dad's nose ,apparently thinking it was the most fun game. Elias hovered near the woman and his daughter anxiously and protectively, hazel eyes focused on his daughter. Finally he tore his gaze from the babe in the woman's arms, a sight that made his heart wrench and twist unhappily. If only Mary were still here, then Melody would be in her mother's arms all the time, where she deserved to be. He cleared his throat and brought suddenly slightly misty eyes up to the face of the woman. "I'm Elias Valiant, miss" he said politely. "And this is little Melody, my daughter" he smiled down at his girl and offered her a finger to hold, which she latched on to and began knawing with toothless gums, staring up at the woman curiously as she did so.

As Elizabeth held the little treasure in her arms she immediately felt as if she was in a big warm bubble of joy and laughter. This little girl surely knew how to sneak into someones heart within seconds. "Nice to meet you Melody and what a lovely name you have." Swinging her very gently and carefully Eliza gave the baby a finger of hers as in a polite greeting before she turned her attention to the father. "Of course it is a pleasure to meet you just as well Mr Valiant. I´m Elizabeth Blythe and don´t worry I do not bite. However yet I sure could use to eat something now. How about you?"

Elias smiled at the compliment to Melody's name. Her mother had chosen it for Melody, just before the woman had died. "A pleasure Miss Blythe" he bowed his head in greeting and nodded when she suggested getting a table. "Getting something to eat is what we're here for, miss. At least, I am. Melody already ate before she came, she's just here to keep me company" he smiled at his daughter and she waved one chubby hand at him. He chuckled before looking around and spotting an empty table. "Why not there?"
